FOR JESUS,

WHO IS COMING BACK SOON!

"In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus

 concerning you."

1 Thessalonians 5:18, KJV.

 Thank God that:

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ...

Romans 1:16-17, NKJV

The Just Live by Faith

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel [a]of Christ, for it is the

power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew

first and also for the Greek.

17 For in it the righteousness of God is

revealed from faith to faith; as it is written,

“The just shall live by faith.”

THANK YOU GOD FOR THE HOLY BIBLE

"Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light unto my path."

  Psalm 119:105, KJV.

 Annette Bailey-Sargeant:

WHAT A WORLD WE WOULD HAVE

IF PEOPLE LOVE, OBEY AND TRUST GOD...

Please hear what God says:

Exodus 20:1-17

King James Version (KJV)

20 And God spake all these words, saying,

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God

and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"

Ephesians 5:20 King James Version (KJV)

May 25, 2015

Thanks to everyone, who took the time to call, post a message or said Happy Birthday to me...54 years young..."To God be the glory!"

I lost a sister at the age of 4, a brother at 30, and my mother, at 51. By calculation, I live long, but when I got up this morning, the alarm clock did not wake me up; God did.

By His grace, love and mercy, He saved me from 2 frightening accidents.  As I was facing death, so to speak, I could only say: "LORD save me!"  He did and I am forever grateful to Almighty God for sustaining my life.  Consequently, as long as I live, I will magnify Him, for He is worthy to be praised.

I know that God is real, He has answered over 400 of my prayers, some that people said were impossible.  The Bible says, "For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37 King James Version (KJV).  I have proven it to be true.

What God has done for others, He can do the same for you, if you believe. Note well: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8, New King James Version.

I am thankful for God's unconditional love,

life and my family.

Psalm 30:11-12, Amplified Bible
11
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me;
You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12
That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

 NOTE WELL:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

THANK YOU GOD FOR MANDEVILLE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, where I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal LORD and Saviour and was baptised on October 4, 1980.

Thank God for Maiseline (Miss Maisie) and Vincent Williamson, who took me to Mandeville SDA Church  from I was 4 years old. (May your souls rest in peace. Well done good and faithful servants! )

Below is what I wrote on Facebook:

    • Annette Bailey-Sargeant ‎" To God be the glory, great things He has done!"

Congratulations to everyone at Mandeville SDA Church, especially, the pioneers

and those who have worked extremely hard over the years to spread the

      Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I still remember the AY/MV Programmes, Children Stories, Choirs, Christmas

Plays & Treats, Concerts from Advent Fellowship, Harvests, lovely singing of

Hymns, Thirteenth Sabbaths, VBS and all the unique things about Mandeville!

I miss the warm fellowship and the special type of worship there.

Keep the faith and note carefully:

"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

      (Matthew 24:13), KJV.

Mandeville Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jamaica... This is the Church that I grew up in and was baptised. Praise the LORD for the commitment, dedication and love of the members. I miss you! "Memories don't live like people do, they always stay with you."

I still cherish those days and will endeavour to spread the love of Jesus wherever I go. Continue to "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16, KJV)

THANK GOD FOR JAMAICA , LAND OF MY BIRTH!

THANKSGIVING FOR PEOPLE WHO TOUCHED MY LIFE, PRIOR TO THEIR DEATH

1. MAVIS CHARLTON (My Mother, who fathered me.)

Mama was a virtuous lady, who gave of her best! She was industrious and wise. Mama was one of the world's greatest cooks, she cooked for several Managers at Alcan, who lived at Ingleside Great House. Mama cooked for Miss world, who visited where she was working. She was highly respected and recommended.

She was well respected in her community, Hanbury District, Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica , West Indies. Mama used to bake a lot and shared with the neighbours. She taught me how to cook from an early age, and how to share and care for those less fortunate.

"I remember Mama in a happy way!" She was full of  compassion, energy, laughter, life, love... Mama made me laugh a lot! Even now after 30 plus years I still laugh when I remember some of the things she did or said. Her smiles were contagious. She was a "no nonsense" person, who used all the proverbs to address issues and scolded you, with the aim to correct the situation. Mama disciplined me with love and she did not "spare the rod and spoil the child." As the Bible says ... She was affectionate, kind and merciful, indeed. Mama counselled many youth and adults and encouraged them to excel in every aspect of their lives. She was non-judgemental.

Mama taught me to be courteous, disciplined, honest, independent, industrious, reliant and trustworthy. Above all, Mama taught me how to pray and how to trust God. She knew how to believe God to provide and supplied all our needs. I heard her prayers and saw God answered them, miraculously. Excellent job Mama. I loved you immensely and I miss you a lot! Rest in peace, Mama. See you in heaven, by the grace of God!

BLANCE GROSSETT (Former Principal at Kendal All-Age School)

Mrs Grossett was one in a million. She was multi-skilled and highly talented! She played the accordion and  piano with excellence and passion that moved you to stand in awe and participate in singing with with all your body, mind and spirit. That lady was superb and dynamic! Devotion at her school was exciting and interesting. The Bible was read at devotion. In fact, all students were suppose to have a Bible and a dictionary for school.

Mrs Grossett taught me to multi-task, l get involved in clubs and societies, Festival (Dance, Drama, Music and Speech for competitions at parish and National levels.)  She taught me to learn hymns by heart and sing properly. (Right now I am not singing as I used to but I appreciate and recognise good singing. Thanks Mrs Grossett, you were an unsung Heroine and a God-fearing lady. Well done good and faithful servant. May your soul rest in peace!

LLOYD HILL (Dearest Cousin, Auntie Lena's only child.

Exemplary gentleman, husband, father and grandfather. He was bold, courteous, faithful, friendly, honest, industrious, intelligent, jovial, kind, loving, polite, sincere and wise.

ANNETTE  JOHNSON-THOMAS (Best Friend)

Exemplary Christian lady, wife, aunt and teacher. She was compassionate, courteous, friendly, honest, industrious, joyful, kind, loving, peaceful, pleasant, polite, sincere and wise.

LENA JOHNSON (Grandaunt who was a Godly Lady)

She was affectionately called Auntie Lena, Mother Johnson and Sister Lena. Oh what a Christian lady indeed!  I loved her very much and used to like listening to her as she prayed.  She got up every morning by 3 am to pray and you would hear her praying loudly for up to 1 hour the least. Her prayers were of confession, petition for her family, extended family, her church brethren and the people of the world.

Auntie Lena, as I preferred  to call her, was rich in house and lands. She had acres of land with every fruit that you can find in Jamaica. I used to enjoy spending time at her house every summer and looked forward to eating all sort of fruits: apples, custard apples, guava, guineps, jack fruit, June plums, mangoes, naseberry, papaya, rose apple, soursop, sugar cane, sweet naval oranges, sweetsop, you name it!

Aunt Lena was kind and generous. She looked out for the poor and needy at all times. She was a great cook and she baked wedding cake and other goodies. When she cooked, there were enough food to give to at least 12 persons who come by without prior notice. Her house was never empty of food and love for everyone who came by. I really miss you Aunt Lena. You were a model Christian and you depicted Proverbs 31 so well. See you in heaven, God willing.

ICAH JOSEPH

My maternal granduncle, affectionately called Mass Icah, was comical and very intelligent. He knew a lot, and I used to enjoy hearing him share his knowledge or watching him worked on his farm. He was a "jack of all trades" and an excellent carpenter and mason.  I remember helping to tidy his house, feeding his dog and pigs, and taking dinner to him, that my mother or I, cooked.

HILDA ROBINSON

A very kind old lady, one of the first Seventh-day Adventists in Hanbury, Manchester. I learnt to make fritters at an early age at Aunt Hilda's house, and listened to her sharing the stories of Jesus.

KIRK SPENCER

My closest and dearest brother, who died of asthma at the age of 30. Kirk was a very special person, who cared for those less fortunate and helped to take children to school He also gave financial support to numerous students in schools and colleges, and gave money to anyone who asked him. He was quiet and exceptionally brilliant, even though he only attended school once or twice per week, owing to severe asthma. Kirk came first in Basic School and in Grades 1 to 6. He went on to de Carteret College and represented DC on School Challenge Quiz.

MASIE WILLIAMSON

My Spiritual Mother, who took me to Church, Harvest, Prayer Meetings, Sabbath school, Vacation Bible School, and so on.

VERA WILSON

My maternal grandmother, who was well loved and respected. Auntie Vera as she was affectionately called, was a great cook and counsellor: an unsung heroine, indeed.

Aunt Esmie was my closest maternal aunt. She was like a mother to me in many ways and she was approachable, friendly, sociable and trustworthy.

I admired her kindness, love, jokes, outgoing nature, persistence and smiles. Even on her death-bed, as I talked to her via telephone, I could not help but "laugh out loud" as she said some things to me in such comical way.

She was a no nonsense person, who would tell it like it is, no beating around the bush, no time for back biting; she told you to your face, with no strings attached, and in love.

Aunt Esmie was a philanthropist. Although she lived in USA for many years, she visited Jamaica, regularly, sometimes twice per year. In my part of the community, she was like Ms Santa Claus, who brought barrels and distributed gifts to several children, youth and adults. She took the time to put the names of people on the items that she bought.

It was fun helping her to sort things for various individuals. (How many people bother to give a pin to anyone less fortunate these days?) She knew how to shop and the department stores welcomed her. She knew how to bake and cook very well and had beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens. She dressed fabulously and was fashionable! At 70 years old, she looked like 40 years old.

Thank God for providing me with Aunt Esmie, who has left an indelible mark that cannot be duplicated. In the sweet by and by we shall meet on that beautiful shore. "To God be the glory for all that He has done" through Aunt Esmie!

Daniel in the Lions’ Den
"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home.
And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem,
he knelt down on his knees three times that day,
and prayed and gave thanks before his God,
as was his custom since early days."

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
