TO GOD, "BLACK LIVES MATTER"
SO STOP DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM!
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
"Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth..." Genesis 1:1, 26-28, KJV.
"BLACK LIVES MATTER!"
On the video of Mr George Floyd’s cruel death by a police officer, who knelt on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, instead of preserving his life, as 3 other officers watched, causes "dummy" to talk...
That wicked act is inhumane! Sin personified before God and all human beings. Barbaric, indeed! No wonder the outrage and protests in Minneapolis, New York and several cities in USA, and now globally.
I cried a few times watching the video and hearing Mr Floyd saying, "I can’t breathe."
That could have been one of my brothers.
On CNN news, I saw Mr Floyd's 6-year-old daughter, Gianna, looked over at her mother, who was crying and saying, "Floyd was a good father." In another interview, his daughter said: “I miss him.” Later, Gianna said, "My Daddy changed the world!"
Think about what is going through Mr Floyd's daughter's mind, his son, Quincy, who asked for justice, and the pain and trauma for his extended family.
My prayers and sympathy go out to the family, friends and well-wishers of Mr George Floyd. Indeed, Mr Floyd's death has brought about changes in the world; people have a vivid example of gross injustice caught on video for everyone to see.
Out of evil will come good, as black people, especially, are sick and tired of the horrible treatments we continue to receive. There is so much discrimination and racism that is not caught on camera or video, but is systemic, within countless institutions and societies for decades. I speak from personal experience.
STOP DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM!
Consequently, I stand in solidarity with people, worldwide, for justice and an end to discrimination and racism. Coming from Jamaica and living in England for 16 plus years, I have been judged foolishly, by my accent, the colour of my skin, country of origin, qualifications, and so on.
One manager told me that she could not pay me more than her diploma workers, even though I came with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
When I applied for a job as a Food and Nutrition Teacher, I was told by the principal of a Village College, that I would have to be trained for 3 years, when I already spent 3 years at Mico Teachers’ College, and graduated with a Diploma in Home Economics. In previous schools, I got top prizes for Food and Nutrition, but was narrowed down to what equals to 'no value' in England.
In another situation, I applied for a job as Child Care Co-ordinator and the young mothers chose me as their number 1 candidate, after seeing me doing practical sessions and role plays with them and their babies. However, the executive director told me that I was too old, so I did not get that job. (He could not appreciate my 5 years of experience as a Child Care Teacher, in Jamaica.)
Another example, of personal discrimination, is applying for a job as a Youth Worker, and being told: "To tell you the truth, you are not from here." The job was given to a plumber, who is white, even though I have been working with youth for over 15 years, with excellent results and had more experience and relevant skills than the person chosen.
Perhaps the most shocking incident to me, is when a former manager, now a resident in a care home, looked at me and said, "You Black Bastard!" I reprimanded her, politely, and went straight to the Manager, demanding an apology and insisting that I would not tolerate such ludicrous behaviour and racist comments.
I could share many more personal stories of what I know to be discrimination and racism towards me, and several friends and relatives from Jamaica, who came to England as highly skilled workers, with at least a Master's degree. Many of us are not accepted for who we are... guess who loses out? England. We know who and Whose we are... we know our values and the outstanding contributions that we have made in Jamaica and can make to England. Jamaicans not only sing and run, we can do anything under the sun, so to speak. "We likkle but we tolullah!"

NOTE WELL:
I do not agree with people burning and damaging properties, looting and shooting, but peaceful protests to express anger and bring about positive changes are people's rights. I love people from every nation and see them as made in the image of God. I have close friends and neighbours, who are white and they treat me with respect and value me for who I am. I also have relatives and friends who are decent police officers, who do their duties with compassion, dignity, and love for humanity. So, I choose to love people as God loves us.

I had the privilege of working in 9 schools and 5 hospitals, and I know the tremendous work that the staff put in, pertaining to their various duties.
During this time of crisis, with lockdowns, deep concerns, and loss of lives, owing to the coronavirus, I would like to thank and pray for all administrators, counsellors, doctors, drivers, farmers, garbage collectors (sanitation engineers), health care assistants, leaders, lecturers, morticians, nurses, parents and caregivers, pastors, police officers, postal workers, presidents, prime ministers, producers and suppliers of goods and services, social workers, teachers, and everyone, worldwide.

Confidentiality in Counselling
Note well: It is very important to find a way to get the client's consent and to maintain your integrity and trustworthiness. As a Christian Counsellor, I usually whisper a silent prayer and ask God's guidance and wisdom on the matter. In my many years of Counselling, I always find a way to help the client to see that his/her action may affect others or cause lasting damage.
"Prevention of wrong doing is better than cure." As a rule, my clients are told early in the counselling session that what they say or do is confidential but anything that violates our rights and responsibilities and that of significant others, administrators, caregivers, parents, teachers, etc. is not permitted.
I will stand before God on the day of Judgement and I will not compromise my Christian conduct or ethical principles for anyone. Right is right and wrong is wrong! Nevertheless, with compassion, empathy, understanding and wisdom, I choose to follow Jesus's example of forgiveness and restoration... "Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more." (John 8:11)
Please let us continue to exercise love and mercy all the time, for here we go save for the grace of God.

As a child I was called a "Tom Boy" because I did things that the boys were doing: climbed tall trees, made kites, painted the house, played cricket, domino, gig, marbles, ride carts, tied out goats, planted vegetable gardens, (cultivated banana, sugar cane, corn, yam) and whistled loudly, etc.
I still mow the lawns, cut the edging, plant things,
weed the garden, etc.
